Pablo Diego José Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno María de los Remedios Cipriano de la Santísima Trinidad Ruiz y Picasso (25 October 1881 – 8 April 1973) was a world famous Spanish painter and sculptor.

 

Picasso was one of the most influential artists of the 20th century.

 

Picasso is known for co-founding the Cubist movement along with artist, Georges Braque – which started in around 1907.

 

During his length art career, Picasso experimented with different theories, techniques, and ideas.

 

His artworks have been classified into different artistic periods including the Blue Period (1901–1904), the Rose Period (1904–1906), the African-influenced Period (1907–1909), Cubism (1909–1919), neoclassical and surrealism through the 1920s.

 

Picasso was trained in art by his father and also educated at the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando – Spain’s foremost art school of the time.
